On January 23, 2025, Helrom celebrated the opening of the new Brenner connection between Regensburg and Verona with a grand opening ceremony at bayernhafen Regensburg. The new connection offers a reliable and sustainable alternative to the challenges of the Brenner corridor. With six journeys per week, a route length of around 600 kilometers and fast transit times of less than 24 hours, it strengthens the logistics infrastructure between southern Germany and northern Italy.

Christian Bernreiter, Minister of State for Housing, Construction and Transport, emphasized the importance of the project: "Shifting freight traffic from road to rail is a declared goal of the Bavarian state government. Every truck that is loaded onto rail relieves the burden on road traffic. I am delighted that we are one step closer to our goal with the innovative option of loading non-craneable truck trailers on the new connection from Regensburg to Verona."

Roman Noack, founder and CEO of Helrom, added: "We are delighted to have the support of politicians for this important project, which combines economic efficiency and sustainability in freight transport. The new Brenner route is a major step towards future-oriented and environmentally friendly logistics."

The Brenner route is part of Helrom's mission to make freight transport more sustainable and efficient. With the continuous expansion of the route network, Helrom is creating climate-friendly logistics solutions for more and more companies and economic areas.
